May 27th, the first batch of exports to Europe, 200 Landwind motors, were shipped formally from Nanchang, and through the Haitong Seaport of Shanghai to Netherlands, and the first batch of vehicles is sold to Belgium and Netherlands. This is also China’s self-owned branding motors export to Europe in batch for the first time.
The first batch of 200 Landwind motors exported to Europe, were to be sold by a Netherlands’ auto dealer, namely AUTOCENTRUM BIJVELDS, who had full confidence in Landwind’s sales in Europe and had done a lot of pre-market promotion before the reach of the vehicles. Therefore, more than 300 vehicles had been ordered before its reach. In view of Landwind Motor’s good sales performance in Europe, recently AUTOCENTRUM BIJVELDS had placed another order of 500 vehicles to Landwind. Currently, Landwind is strictly organizing the production to ensure the on-time delivery with outstanding quality.

Before the Landwind Motor’s formally landing on Europe, some European mainstream financial medias had given out reports about it. Some European experts of the industry took the act of Landwind Motor as a new wave of Asian export offensive and they thought that following the Japanese and South Korean motor manufacturers, China motors would flood into the European market. After the first batch of 200 Landwind cars’ being sold out, medias generally reported that the purchase of a 17, 000 euros car as the Landwind SUV was very attractive. Just for the high cost-performance, the first batch of Landwind motors exported to Europe won a very good reputation.
Another important reason why Landwind Motor realized a brilliant start in the European market is Landwind’s success in marketing strategy and promotion, including the choosing of agents and suitable advertising promotion, etc. Some media believe that such motor brand, Lufeng, is named well. So is its translation: Landwind, which is regarded as the native language wherever in English or in Germany, and easily accepted.
It is known that Landwind currently takes Europe as the key market of export. It plans to establish an initial marketing network in EU countries in 2005, expecting to achieve sales of 1500 vehicles the whole year.
In the first half year, domestic SUV market accumulatively fell by 5.76%, but Landwind Motor has gone reversely against the trend, with a rapid development of an increase by 66% to become the benchmark for the domestic mid-grade SUV. It is believed that Landwind Motor’s good performance both in the domestic and international market will lead Landwind Motor to climb to its peak again.
